Arjun Fernando to join Central Finance Board

Veteran banker Arjun Fernando will be joining the Board of Central Finance Company Plc as an Independent Non-Executive Director from 16 August 2017.

He fills the vacancy created through the retirement of J.D. Bandaranayake, who will be reaching the age of 70 this week. Arjun is the CEO/Director of DFCC Bank, a position he will vacate in August after completing a five-year contract. He possesses over 33 years of experience in banking and financial services both locally and overseas, holding senior positions including directorships at large banking institutions. He holds a BSc in Engineering from Southern Illinois University USA and an MSc in Management from Clemson University USA. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Financial Studies (Chartered Institute of Bankers) UK.
