The National Congress of Asian Alliance Insurance PLC was held with the participation of over 400 leading sales advisors from all regions island-wide on 21 December 2012. The congress was held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo 7.
The event was held under the theme of ‘Life Plan 2013’ where the Life Division of AAI declared their plans and strategies for the upcoming year with the top performing members. The Chief Guest at the event was Ramal G. Jasinghe, Director/CEO of Asian Alliance.
The top 10 performers who contributed towards reaching the milestones of the Life Distribution arm during 2012 were invited to light the traditional oil lamp as a gesture of recognising their invaluable contribution.
Lahiru Maduranga (Nugegoda), Dilan Yapa (Colombo 2), S.A.P. Namal Priyankara (Matara), J.M. Pradeep Namal (Colombo 2), M.L.N.F. Anton Perera (Colombo 2), M.A.T.D. Jeewantha (Panadura), H. Saman Weerasinghe (Panadura), W.L.C. Deepika De Alwis Gunathilake (Kurunegala), W. Madusha Udayakumara (Wattala) and W. Karunarathne (Colombo Metropolitan) were among the top 10 performers of 2012.
Sales Manager Kapila Suriyaarachchi commenced this landmark event by unveiling AAI’s and the professional sales force’s ‘Life Plan 2013’ through his welcome note. He encouraged the talented sales force to be on the winning path of becoming a top performer whilst Chula Hettiarachchi, Chief Operating Officer – Life shared future plans which will take the company towards its path to success.
Embarking on a new market diversification strategy, AAI’s Life arm announced the launch of its new life insurance solutions, broad basing the healthcare platform of the company.
Nilanga Karunarathne, Senior Manager – Sales Training and Knowledge Management of AAI conducted a training session for insurance advisors positioning the new range of insurance solutions which will provide protection with unmatched healthcare benefits.
Ramal Jasinghe, Director/CEO, addressed the team, focusing on the future plans and strategies of the organisation and Life team’s responsibility towards contributing to the growth of the insurance industry and thereby achieving the company objectives.
Jasinghe also educated the sales force on AAI’s new position as a multinational company following the partnership with the two foreign entities: DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH of Germany and FMO – Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V. of Netherlands. He is of the view that this partnership will benefit all stakeholders of AAI, particularly since it will enable the company to access international expertise and strategy.
The senior management, managers and staff of the Life division and the supporting departments and members of all regions including staff, field management and regional managers of the company were also among the invitees on this day.
