Asian Alliance Insurance – International Congress 2012, Thailand

The ‘International Congress 2012’ of Asian Alliance Insurance was held recently at the Indra Regent Hotel, Bangkok as a residential event under the theme ‘Asian Alliance Avurudu Asiri’. The event experienced a participation of over 100 professional Sales Advisors who were the winners of the New Business Competition held during the fourth Quarter of 2011 along with the Regional Distribution Management and the Field Management of the company. This is a bi-annual event of Asian Alliance Insurance which recognises the winners of the Life New Business Competition.

Marketing and Sales General Manager Chula Hettiarachchi opened the session with the future plans which will forge the company for its road to success. He recognised the unique position of AAI which continues to differentiate its Life Insurance offering from the rest of the industry by persevering on its protection platform.

Asian Alliance Insurance announced the launch of their latest addition to the portfolio of innovative tailor-made insurance solutions – ‘Asian Alliance Asiri+ (AAA+)’ to the life insurance market. This product is a result of the combined strengths of Asian Alliance Insurance and Asiri Hospitals Group owned by the Softlogic Group which will revolutionised the healthcare insurance market in the country. Hettiarachchi, addressing the forum at the launch stated that the company’s secret to success has always been driven by understanding the needs of the present and potential policyholders. Educating the professional sales force on the newest addition, he further stated that, ‘AAA+’ will open a new era in the life insurance landscape which will be beneficial to the niche market segment AAI has been serving since its inception.

The Life Sales Force of Asian Alliance Insurance who achieved over and above the performance targets in their new business competition held during the fourth quarter of 2011 were recognised at this glamorous event. G. M. Lahiru Maduranga (Nugegoda) achieved the first place whilst Dilan Yapa (Colombo II) and D.  Susil Atapattu (Colombo II) secured the second and third positions of the competition respectively.

The top performers who were qualified for the membership of prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 2012 were also recognised at the International Congress of AAI. G. M. Lahiru Maduranga, D. Susil Atapattu, D. I. A. Wanaguru, W. L. Chaminda Deepika, M. A. T. D. Jeewantha, M. R. C. Kumara, H. Saman Weerasinghe and Chaminda Dissanayake were among the qualified members of MDRT 2012. G. M. Lahiru Maduranga (Nugegoda) has achieved the prestigious ‘Cout of the Table’ status of this elite conference.

The performance by the Life Team in the year 2011, in all aspects of Life business were well above the benchmarks; new business production and growth, customer service and retention and average policy value. It is indeed a result of a well-planned team effort achieved through dedication, commitment and professionalism.
