ASIAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION MEETS IN COLOMBO

Asian Bankers Association yesterday began its 28th General Meeting and Conference in Colombo yesterday. Established in October 1981, the ABA is now the biggest grouping of banks and financial institutions in Asia-Pacific. Its membership currently includes some 100 of the leading banks from some 23 countries in the region.

The event spanning two days is hosting nearly 300 delegates including leading corporate leaders, prominent personalities in the financial and banking industry. The event highlights the potential and forward thinking process for the banking industry in Asia. On right Chief guest at the ceremonial opening IMF Resident Representative Dr. Koshi Mathai makes his address.
