Asset Trust Management Ltd. (ATML), a renowned market intermediary registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC), launched its second mutual fund ASTRUE Money Market Fund on 27 June 2013.
Following the successful performance of its first fund, the ASTRUE Gilt-Edged Fund, ATML is now licensed by the SEC to operate the ASTRUE Money Market Fund which will take advantage of short term opportunities in fixed income securities such as Treasury Bills, Bonds, Government backed Securities, corporate debt instruments and fixed deposits.
ASTRUE Unit Trusts are managed by a dynamic team of investment management professionals with substantial experience in wealth management. The new fund would cater to investors seeking a secure solution for their investment needs, whilst benefiting from opportunities to derive attractive returns.
The manager and registrar to the fund is Asset Trust Management Ltd., whilst the trustee and custodian is Deutsche Bank AG, Colombo.
Asset Trust Management Ltd. has been awarded licenses from SEC as an Investment Manager and Unit Trust Manager. The company is spearheaded by prominent personalities in the field of finance such as Dr. Wickrama Weerasooria, Mangala Boyagoda, Eastman Narangoda, Upali Witharana and Dilshan Hettiaratchi. The investment committee and the management team comprises of eminent professionals, while reputed banker Subash Vanniasinkam overlooks audit and compliance.
The fund is open for subscription at a unit price of Rs. 10 per unit. The initial subscription period of the fund would be from 27 June till 10 July 2013.
