The Bank of Ceylon which has upheld traditions and cultural values of the country in every possible manner invites all its customers to conduct ‘Avurudu Ganu Denu’ with the bank on 15 April. Gifts are on offer for kids who open Ran Kekulu accounts or deposit money to their existing accounts on the 15 April.
Enhancing customer convenience, the bank has extended its banking service by having the bank’s branch network available on Saturday 11 April open from 8:30 a.m. till 3 p.m. Customers can obtain banking services from any BOC branch island wide on this day.
As a part of the bank’s Avurudu rituals Ran Kekulu account holders will receive gifts ranging from tills, story books, school stationary packs, Grade 5 scholarship paper sets, pocket dictionaries, encyclopaedias, toys and school bags. These gifts will be available till stocks last. The bank invites children to save with BOC to cultivate the savings habit during the school vacation.
The Bank of Ceylon earned global recognition as one of the top 1000 banks in the world, (Country rank No.1) as listed by ‘The Banker Magazine’ (UK) respectively in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The bank claimed its award as the only Sri Lankan brand recognized as one of Asia’s Best Brands in 2013 by the Chief Marketing Officer’s Council (CMO Council) based in Mumbai, India.
Brand Finance Lanka ranked Bank of Ceylon as the country’s No. 1 brand for the last six consecutive years. The bank has passed exceptional milestones in recent years such as achieving over Rs. 1 trillion assets and over 1,000 customer touch points covering all parts of Sri Lanka.
Focusing on the bank’s achievement, Fitch Rating Lanka ranked the Bank of Ceylon at AA+(lka) which is the highest rating awarded to a local commercial bank. Bank of Ceylon maintains international presence with branches in Chennai, Male, Seychelles and a subsidiary in London.
