Bank of Ceylon extends local reach to Sir John Kotalawala Defence University

The Bank of Ceylon recently opened its 618th branch at the Kotalawala Defence University premises at Kandawalawatta, Ratmalana in order to cater to the growing demand of the area. Bank of Ceylon chairman Air Chief Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama opened the branch ceremoniously on Monday, 23 June. The bank’s General Manager D.M. Gunasekara, Deputy General Manager (Retail Banking) Russel Fonseka and other bank officials were also present along with the Branch Manager and staff members on this occasion.

The BOC Kotalawala Defence University branch will provide an array of services to its customers including all deposit products, wealth management banking services with personal credit facilities and foreign remittance services. The branch is equipped with 24 hour ATM facility, and is linked with the bank’s island-wide branch network to provide real time banking. The Bank of Ceylon will be celebrating its 75th anniversary on 1 August.
