BOC takes NRFC ‘Wasana’ Lottery draw to Jaffna, Third millionaire picked

NRFC Supiri Wasana Quarterly Lottery Draw which is meant exclusively for NRFC account holders of Bank of Ceylon was held recently at the Bank of Ceylon Jaffna Branch.

B. A. C. Fernando the General Manager of the Bank of Ceylon was the chief guest at this grand draw and the Senior Management of Bank of Ceylon, a large number of customers in the area and a large number of VIPs from the area attended this colourful event. Winners will receive Rupees One million as the first prize, 20 second prizes at Rs.50,000 each and 30 third prizes at Rs. 25,000 each under this draw held once in every three months. The victorious millionaire this time maintains his NRFC account at the Metropolitan branch. The basic qualification to enter this draw is to maintain a minimum balance up to US $ 5000, 1000 or 250 respectively in the relevant account for a whole month. At the same time if US$ 5000 which makes one qualify to win the Super prize of One million is maintained throughout the quarter, such accounts will get three chances to win.

At the monthly draw of this competition 50 account holders who maintain a minimum balance of US$ 250 or more will get a chance every month to win Rs.10, 000 each. Maintaining this minimum balance in US $ or another type of approved currency is sufficient for the draw.

The Bank of Ceylon has provided facilities for anyone who wishes to open a NRFC account before leaving the island, even without a basic deposit. At the same time, when the first salary received after joining the employment is deposited in the relevant account, the Bank of Ceylon will deposit US$ 5 in the same account as a gift. 24 representatives of the Bank of Ceylon have been deployed in foreign countries including the Middle East to assist the Sri Lankan migrant workers.
