CA Sri Lanka’s taxation course for professionals

Having understood the importance of taxation, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) in its continuing endeavour to empower and educate the country’s professionals and practitioners on topical areas will commence a taxation course this month.



The comprehensive course covering 48 lecture hours is targeted for tax practitioners, accountants, lawyers, managers and executives and is an introduction course for beginners who wish to choose tax as their career path with a basic understanding of the existing tax system in order for them to lay a strong foundation in the knowledge of tax.

The course will commence on 9 June 2012 and will be infused with a specialist lecture panel in the likes of former Commissioner General of the Department of Inland Revenue Mervyn Weerasooriya, Principal – Tax and Regulatory of KPMG – Sri Lanka Suresh Perera, Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Hiranthi Ratnayake and Director of ECI Tax Chambers (Pvt) Ltd. Denzil A. Rodrigo.
