CBSL’s southern office enlightens Police on detecting counterfeit currency notes

With the increase in the volume of counterfeit notes which are put into circulation each day, the Southern Province office of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has been conducting a series of workshops to enlighten Police officers and the public on how to detect a forged currency note.
The officers in charge of all the Police stations in the Galle District were shown simple ways on how a forged note could be detected at the workshop held at the Southern Province office recently.
