CDB wins Platinum Award at LACP 2013 Vision Awards

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) won a coveted Platinum Award at the recently-held League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 2013 Vision Awards held in Florida, USA, one of the world’s largest annual report competitions. CDB won the award in the Financials – Diversified Services Category, amongst more than 24 nations and over 1,000 organisations, ensuring consistent high calibre. The company also received the honour of developing the best in-house annual report in the Asia Pacific region, securing the 42nd position among the top 100 annual reports worldwide, and 17th amongst the top 80 in the Asia Pacific region. “Our annual report outlines our vision for success, and to receive such recognition on a global scale strengthens our resolve to achieving the vision. We have clinched several awards and accolades on previous occasions, including the Silver award at the 2012 Vision Awards ceremony.  We will continue to forge ahead with renewed commitment and resolve,” said Assistant General Manager – Finance Hasitha Dassanayake commenting on the prestigious award. In addition, he stated that winning a Platinum Award is testament to the transparency and high quality of CDB’s reporting, even amidst fierce competition. The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) was established in 2001 in order to create a forum within the public relations industry that facilitates discussion of best-in-class practices within the profession, while also recognising those who demonstrate exemplary communications capabilities. CDB is established as a formidable leading player among the top Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in the country, extending its network to 59 outlets islandwide.
