The key focus of the management development program was to build a holistic professional, with the ability to instil values and skill in the organisation, which will result in creating a highly engaged workforce which will produce value and a competitive edge for Ceylinco General Insurance.

Chief Executive Officer Ajith Gunawardena said that the objective of the program was to expose the senior management of the company to modern techniques in management, and to provide them with the skills and expertise needed to be more effective and engage progressively in the company.

He added that they would individually benefit immensely from this program by improving their work-related activities while also seeing progress in their personal development, both at work and at home.

“This will also equip them with the right thinking to lead the changes that the organisation needs to overcome challenges, especially with the expansion that we envisage both locally and internationally,” he stated.

Ceylinco General Insurance Managing Director Patrick Alwis, commenting on the program, said that it was designed in a manner that would empower the senior management to become effective leaders, engaging them in company activities more vibrantly and adding value to their careers.

“The program content focused on productivity and creating a set of engaged executives. The participants were selected from the city office, head office and branch network,” he revealed.

According to the feedback received from participants, the respective programs were a huge success in the aspects of motivation and empowering the senior cadre to take leadership roles in the future.
