Ceylinco Insurance General applauds nation’s best sales team

Ceylinco Insurance – General once again recognised and handsomely rewarded its energetic and dedicated sales team, at the recently concluded Annual Sales Conference and Awards Ceremony for 2013. The gala event bore witness to a truly outstanding cadre of dynamic individuals, whose top performers were feted with outstanding performance awards, and rewarded for going above and beyond the call of duty. The Ceylinco Insurance – General team, recognised as the largest sales force in the industry, is renowned for its highly motivated dynamism, consistently delivering an exceptional level of service to customers. The event, held under the theme ‘The Time Is Now To Accelerate Our Growth, With Satisfied Customers By Our Side’ was attended by well over 1,100 sales personnel, attached to its City Office, the over 300-strong branch network and other senior staff members. At the event, over 600 sales personnel, who had excelled in their performance during the year 2013, received awards, accorded on evaluations conducted through a demanding performance criteria. The top performers were categorised into Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, rising to the zenith, the much coveted ‘Hall of Fame’. Along with the valuable rewards in these categories, an individual member, who was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame, received a brand new house, in recognition for his outstanding service and contribution to the company, during the past five years. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ceylinco Insurance – General Ajith Gunawardena, delivering the key note address, paid a glowing tribute to the staff of Ceylinco Insurance – General, who have continuously and consistently stood up to challenges, persistently going above and beyond expectations, unfailingly establishing newer and newer benchmarks. He went on to praise them for their courageous efforts in delivering more than what is promised to their customers with dedication, and reminded them of the challenges lying ahead and the ongoing need to add value to products and services, in order to continually forge ahead, relentlessly leading the industry in the future. He also recalled how the company had evolved to the present status, emerging a giant, due to the ever present enthusiasm and commitment of the employees. Amongst the other speakers, Director and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Patrick Alwis, presented a descriptive analysis of the Company’s performance during the year 2013, while Chairman Godwin Perera, and Director – Finance Nihal Peiris, too delivered moving and inspiring messages to the sales staff. At the event, it was also recalled how over the last 25 years, the company had introduced dozens of innovations, setting the benchmark for the rest of the players to follow, ultimately benefitting the people of Sri Lanka. In order to ensure growth and to meet with emerging opportunities, the company now maintains the largest branch network in the Island, with over 300 branches and sales outlets, providing fully fledged General Insurance solutions. In recognition for its pivotal role in its chosen sphere, Ceylinco Insurance was feted in 2014, as the People’s Insurance Company, for the 8th successive year, while Ceylinco Insurance was once again, the only insurance company to be selected amongst the ‘Business Today Top 25 Companies in Sri Lanka’ for the second consecutive year. Most recently, Ceylinco Insurance had the distinct honour of being chosen the highest ranked insurance company, from amongst the leading and most valuable Sri Lankan brands, which spoke volumes regarding the value Ceylinco Insurance has added to the insurance industry at large, and Sri Lanka itself.
