Ceylinco Life celebrates a decade at the top with dazzling awards gala

A decade of unbroken market leadership was celebrated in fitting style when Life Insurance giant Ceylinco Life honoured top achievers at the company’s annual awards show at the BMICH last week. The spectacular awards gala was attended by some 1,500 of the company’s top sales and operational staff, of whom more than 200 were recognised and rewarded for their contributions to Ceylinco Life’s stellar performance in 2013. The Chief Guest at the entertainment-packed extravaganza was VivekKuruvila, Head of Life &Health for Swiss Re in India and Sri Lanka. In his keynote address, Kuruvila said 2013 had been a special year for both companies with Ceylinco Life celebrating its 25th anniversary and Swiss Re reaching its 150th year. “Both companies can be incredibly proud of this achievement, which speaks volumes for the capabilities and corporate values that all of us live our lives by,” he said, adding that the level of respect that client managers at Swiss Re have for Ceylinco Life is “truly impressive.” Many of the award winners received overseas tours to Canada, Malaysia and Bangkok in addition to cash prizes, certificates, medals and trophies. Branch Sales Heads, Unit Heads and Sales Consultants who performed exceptionally well from all districts in Sri Lanka were honoured, for individual as well as team performances. The top award winners were: Best Branch Head – E.H.D.J. Shantha from Ceylinco Life’s Moratuwa Branch; Best Unit Head – S. Govindaraju from the Colombo North Branch; and Best Sales Consultant – B. Sridharan of the Colombo North 04 Branch. One of the high points of the gala was the presentation of the 2014 SLIM-Nielsen People’s Choice Award won by Ceylinco Insurance to Renganathan.
