Ceylinco Life has begun equipping its Sales officers with tabs in an effort to further enhance service to customers. The first batch of tabs was presented to 173 sales officers recently, and the company said it intends to equip its 4,000-strong sales team with these devices within the next few years. Sales officers seeking to improve their interaction with customers can make presentations, show TV commercials and offer quotations via these tabs, the company said. The tabs will enable users to produce documents in MS Word and Excel format, make PowerPoint presentations, access the company Intranet, and synchronise data from anywhere, and facilitate scheduling of appointments. These tabs also offer a simplified version of collection modules for sales users, viewing of policy level benefits, ability for unit heads and Branch Heads to access the team’s business figures and evaluate them, sending greetings to customers, access to personal and team business figures, view of targets vs actual business, and send reminder notices on due payments and lapsed notices. Ceylinco Life Director and Deputy CEO Thushara Ranasinghe said: “Given the increasingly busy lifestyles of our customers and potential policyholders, sales officers need to be able to provide all the information they require, at one meeting. Being equipped with tabs will facilitate this process.” Ceylinco Life has already equipped the company’s Heads of Branches with laptop computers to facilitate their work. Independently rated one of Sri Lanka’s most valuable brands, Ceylinco Life has maintained its leadership of the country’s long term insurance sector from 2004 onwards. The company operates the largest branch network among local life insurance companies, and has won multiple international and local awards for its commitment to the community and success in brand equity building.
