Ceylinco Life is inviting its policyholders to join in the company’s efforts to ‘Go Green’ by signing on to receive ‘E Documents’ relating to their policies.
To increase awareness and enthusiasm, the life insurance market leader has put up prizes of an iPad, Samsung smartphones and dongles which can be won by policyholders who register for E Documents before 31 August 2014.
“Ceylinco Life has been in the forefront in the deployment of mobile technology in the insurance industry to streamline our interaction with customers and reduce response times,” the company’s Deputy CEO/Director Thushara Ranasinghe said. “Now, the widespread use of mobile devices has made it possible to make a significant reduction in the amount of paper used in our dealings with policyholders.”
He said Ceylinco Life plans to send policy statements, payment receipts and reminders to customers via e-mail as part of its transition to E Documents.
“E-documents are a faster and more convenient way for customers to view their policy related documents. Besides receiving the documents ahead of time, customers will contribute to a sustainable environment by saving paper and the energy used to produce, transport and dispose of such documents,” Ranasinghe added.
Ceylinco Life customers who opt for E Documents will receive email alerts when a payment is due or a payment is received, have access to their policy related details at anytime from anywhere and be protected against information theft in the event of lost or stolen mail, while they help the company reduce its carbon footprint.
Independently rated one of Sri Lanka’s most valuable brands, Ceylinco Life has maintained its leadership of the country’s long term insurance sector from 2004 onwards. The company operates the largest branch network among local life insurance companies, and has won multiple international and local awards for its commitment to the community and success in brand equity building.
