Ceylinco Life opens second Kurunegala branch in own building

Sri Lanka’s life insurance leader Ceylinco Life has opened a second branch in Kurunegala to enhance service facilities and better serve customers in and around the area.

Located at No. 40A, Raja Pihilla Mawatha, Kurunegala, this is Ceylinco Life’s 29th branch in a purpose-designed building owned by the company, built at a cost of Rs. 50 million according to the company.

The new branch comprises of 10,275 square feet of space on five levels. T

he lower ground floor of 2,016 square feet and the first and second floors comprising of 4,162 square feet have been allocated for the offices, while the upper ground floor of 2,016 square feet is assigned to Customer Service.

The third floor is a training room cum auditorium.

For the benefit of visitors and occupants, the office is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with a passenger lift and a standby generator. Among some of the other features of the building are a rain water harvesting system, net metering and solar panels, tube well, inverter air conditioner units and LED lights.

All of Ceylinco Life’s 182 branches are fully IT enabled and are computer linked to each other and the company’s head office using IP/VPN technology, providing policyholders with access to information on their policies from any branch.

Independently rated as one of Sri Lanka’s most valuable brands, Ceylinco Insurance operates the largest branch network in Sri Lanka’s life insurance industry. The company was adjudged ‘Peoples Brand of the Year’ in the insurance category in March 2011 for the fifth consecutive time.

In July this year Ceylinco Life received the CMO Asia Award for ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices’ while in 2010, the company received the top award for Social Marketing at the Global Awards for Brand Excellence presented by the World Brand Congress in Mumbai.
