Ceylon Chamber to hold seminar on ‘Amendments to Tax Laws’

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be organising a seminar, under the title of ‘Amendments to Tax Laws’, which will be held on Friday, 9 May 2014 from 8:30 a.m. onwards. The seminar, scheduled to be held at the CCC auditorium at No. 50, Navam Mawatha, Colombo will discuss the ‘Inland Revenue (Amendment) Act 2014’ and ‘Nation Building Tax (Amendment) Act 2014’, among other related taxes. Taxation Steering Committee Chairman, CCC Partner, Ernst & Young Sri Lanka Duminda Hulangamuwa will chair the seminar.  Inland Revenue Dept, Commissioner Tax Policy Deepani Herath and Inland Revenue Department Senior Commissioner Dhammika Gunatilaka will deliver presentations at this seminar. They will also take part in the panel discussion that will follow, which will also see the presence of Gajma & Company Senior Partner N.R. Gajendran and KPMG Ford Rhodes Thornton & Company Partner Shamila Jayasekera. Participants will have the opportunity to clarify any issues relating to the tax amendments or any other tax issues during the discussion. Registrations will close on 8 May morning.
