Chandra Dias exits Entrust Securities

Industry veteran Chandra Dias has resigned as CEO of Entrust Securities Ltd. with effect from 31 December 2014. The company said the employment contract with Dias expired. He assumed the CEO post in January 2013. Current Group Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Romesha Senerath will overlook the operations of Entrust Securities. Senerath has an MBA from Buckinghamshire New University (UK) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). She has also obtained the International Capital Markets Qualifications (ICMQ) conducted by the Securities Institute, London (UK) and is a diploma holder of Business Skills and Development conducted by the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) as well. She has over 16 years of experience in fund management activities and overall management of corporate affairs. Prior to being seconded to Entrust Ltd., she joined Entrust Investments Ltd, formerly licensed Investment Manager and Margin Provider by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and was overlooking the overall operations of the company in the capacity of Assistant General Manager. Before joining the Entrust Group of Companies, she has worked at Nation Lanka Finance Plc as Senior Executive Investments and at Union Assurance Plc as Acting Head of Investments. Prior to holding the post of Entrust Securities CEO, Dias was the CEO of Natwealth Securities Ltd. between July 2005 and November 2012. He was also the Head of Treasury and International at Pan Asia Bank from April 1998 to June 2005 and Head of Treasury, International Operations and Business Development at Public Bank Berhard Sri Lanka Branch from March 1992 to March 1998. Chandra began his financial services career at the Bank of Ceylon, where he served for 22 years from March 1970 to March 1992.
