Sri Lanka Foundation as the centre for leadership, education and training in Sri Lanka, takes initiatives to venture into new areas.

With the growing demand for ethical aspects in finance industry, Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) jointly offer a public session on ‘Integrity Matters’ on 13 June 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at SLF, No. 100, Sri Lanka Padanama Mw, Independence Square, Colombo 07.

CISI Chief Executive Simon Culhane is prepared to share his wealth of experience with the local audience in an engaging management skills workshop, which challenges the audience to think about how we would act when making ethical decisions in the work place using interactive technology vote on how we would respond to ethical scenarios.

Choices remain private but the results are collated and provide a platform for a lively discussion. This integrity workshop has been presented to audiences at firms around the world and would be presented in Sri Lanka as well.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and a member of the Institute of Financial Services. Culhane was appointed as CISI Chief Executive in May 2004, having previously worked both with a number of blue chip financial companies and in the Central Government. His previous role was at Deutsche Bank, where he worked as Director, Chairman’s Office, and Global Investment Banking.

For three years prior to this, Culhane was the Prime Minister’s Efficiency Unit Deputy Director, and Cabinet Office, where he was responsible for the Unit’s work in a number of major Government Departments.

Culhane spent his early career with Lloyds Bank PLC, in a number of roles including senior group manager, retail banking for the Kensington area and in Chicago, USA. He is also a chartered fellow of the CISI and member of the Institute of Financial Services and was educated at St. Paul’s School London, and the University of Surrey, and is interested in sailing and supporting AFC Wimbledon.

Culhane highlights the value of this session: “The integrity workshop helps us think about how we would react to ethical dilemmas in the workplace. It puts integrity in the front of our minds and it means people can’t use the excuse I was just following orders or I didn’t understand.” Those who are interested to explore this subject area or reserving your seat, contact Vimukthi Wickramasinghe on 0713 968 220.
