COMBank seminar in Anuradhapura on Entrepreneurship Skills for SMEs

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently conducted a seminar on Developing Entrepreneurship Skills for SME’s at Anuradhapura for more than 200 people from the Anuradhapura, Dambulla, and Kekirawa areas.

This seminar conducted in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura coincided with the 15th anniversary of the Bank’s Anuradhapura branch.

This was the fifth such programme organized by the bank for the SME sector during 2012. Previous programmes were held in Thambuttegama, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya and Minuwangoda in collaboration with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

The resource person for this latest programme was Mohan Palliyaguru, a qualified and experienced speaker on entrepreneurship development. Presentations were also made by Leel Rodrigo, Senior Regional Manager – North Central Region and Delakshan Hettiarachchi, Chief Manager – Development Credit Department of Commercial Bank on aspects pertaining to entrepreneurship. Among other representatives of the Bank present at the event were Messrs Mohan Fernando, Manager – Development Credit Department and Asela Leuwanduwa, Manager of the Anuradhapura branch.
