Commercial Bank arrives at Maskeliya

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has opened a Branch in the scenic hill country town of Maskeliya, extending its award winning services to residents and travellers to this tea-growing region.

Located at No. 244-246, Main Street, Maskeliya, the Bank’s 221st Branch was inaugurated by Commercial Bank Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody.

The new branch is computer-linked to all other Branches and service points of Commercial Bank enabling online real time banking and provides access to the full range of facilities offered by the Bank.

The two ATM terminals installed at the new branch expands Commercial Bank’s ATM network to 532, the single largest ATM network owned by a bank in Sri Lanka.

The new branch brings the total number of Commercial Bank service points in the central region to 19.

Commercial Bank is the largest private bank in Sri Lanka, and the only Sri Lankan bank listed in the world’s Top 1,000 Banks for two years consecutively. The bank has been adjudged ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 14 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine, and has won multiple awards as the country’s best bank from ‘The Banker,’ ‘FinanceAsia,’ ‘Euromoney’ and ‘Trade Finance’ magazines. Commercial Bank also operates 17 service points in Bangladesh and is the fourth largest foreign bank in that country.
