The Commercial Bank of Ceylon Plc has opened a Service Point which also serves as a 365-day banking centre at Katubedda, further strengthening its operations in the Moratuwa area.
The opening of this Unit as the Bank’s 190th Service Outlet in Sri Lanka brings the number of 365-day Holiday Banking Centres in Moratuwa to two and in the country to 35.
The new Service Point is located at K-Zone, 340, Galle Road, Katubedda, the prestigious and popular Shopping Mall developed by the JKH Group.
It will offer extended banking hours which will be an enhancement of convenience to all — individuals, personal and business customers, including the large number of shops operating at ‘K-Zone.’
The Service Point will be open daily from 10 a.m to 7.30 p.m including on public, bank and mercantile holidays. Customers can utilise the extensive parking facilities available at the Mall.
The facilities offered at the new service point include unlimited withdrawals and deposits, issue of Pay Orders, issue of local drafts, issue and encashment of travellers cheques and foreign currency notes, handling of e-Exchange and Moneygram transactions and opening of current accounts.
The ATM at the location is linked to the 403 other ATMs of the Bank and over one million ATMs of the Cirrus (Mastercard network) and Visa networks worldwide.
“The opening of this 2nd Holiday Banking Centre in the Moratuwa area would do much to enhance the facilities offered by the Bank to this important suburb of Colombo. All over-the-counter banking facilities can now be offered on a 365-day basis,” said Chandana Gunasekera – AGM – Personal Banking/ SME who presided at the opening.
“With this, we are progressively increasing the number of Holiday Banking Centres, recognising the preference of customers to do their Banking in a relaxed atmosphere.”
Commercial Bank has been adjudged Sri Lanka’s ‘Bank of the Year’ seven times by ‘The Banker,’ ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 12 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine, and the Best Bank in Sri Lanka twice by FinanceAsia.
It has also been rated ‘Best Local Trade Bank’ in Sri Lanka by the UK based ‘Trade Finance’ magazine.
