The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has extended its services to Medawachchiya with the opening of its 231st branch in Sri Lanka in this key town on the A9 highway. The opening of the bank’s latest branch at 100, Kandy Road, Medawachchiya, provides residents as well as travellers passing through with access to the full gamut of services offered by Sri Lanka’s largest private bank.
The ATM machine at the new branch links Medawachchiya, a town that straddles an important road and rail intersection, with the single largest automated electronic cash dispensing network in Sri Lanka, now comprising of 563 terminals. Commercial Bank Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody officiated as Chief Guest at the opening of the new Medawachchiya branch.
