Commercial Bank to open 56 service points on Mahasivarathri Day

Commercial Bank has announced that 56 of its service points will be kept open on Mahasivarathri Day, 20 February, a public and bank holiday.



Customers of Commercial Bank can obtain over-the-counter banking services at 29 Supermarket Banking Counters, 18 selected branches and via the Bank’s nine 365-day banking centres in Colombo 7, Galle City, Kandy City Office, Jaffna, Negombo, Majestic City and Kurunegala, at the Katubedda Holiday Banking Centre and at the 24-hour Banking Centre in Katunayake on that day.

The 18 Commercial Bank branches that will be kept open include the Foreign Branch at its Head Office and the branches in Wellawatte, Kollupitiya, Kotahena, Maharagama, Borella, Nugegoda, Narahenpita, Battaramulla, Panchikawatte, Union Place, Wattala, Dehiwala, Moratuwa, Kiribathgoda, Avissawella, Piliyandala and Main Street.

Commercial Bank Deputy General Manager - Operations Sanath Bandaranayake said: “The Bank traditionally keeps open a representative number of its service points in different parts of the island for the convenience of its large customer base. This practice has been well received and appreciated by customers.”

The only Sri Lankan Bank listed in the world’s Top 1,000 Banks, Commercial Bank operates a network of 213 service points in Sri Lanka and the country’s single largest network of 500 ATMs. The Bank has been adjudged ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 13 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine and has won multiple awards as the country’s best bank from ‘The Banker,’ ‘FinanceAsia,’ ‘Euromoney’ and ‘Trade Finance’ magazines.
