Cooperative Insurance wins Diamond Award at Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology Awards 2013

Co-operative Insurance Company Ltd., the third largest network in Sri Lanka has done an immense service to revolutionise the insurance sector of the country. The Lankan giant in the insurance sector was honoured at the Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology Awards Ceremony 2013 held in Frankfurt, Germany recently by being awarded the Diamond Award for the Best Insurance Company. The International Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology Award 2013 is held to reward highly-qualified professionals currently involved in big projects, whose decisions affect millions of people and whose work meets the highest standards while serving people. This outstanding achievement illustrates the continuous growth of Cooperative Insurance Company Ltd., its quality management processes, positive effects on the community and many more.

Cooperative Insurance Company Ltd. Chairman Lalith A. Peiris and Chief Executive Officer Damitha Narangoda received the award on behalf of the company at the awards ceremony. Peiris, commenting on the award, said that this depicts the quality of the service the company has extended towards the community and their success, maintaining positive aspects to serve everyone in need of protecting their lives and property while revolutionising the insurance sector by introducing new concepts. “The Cooperative Insurance Company Ltd. has been serving the people in need for more than 15 years without expecting much publicity for our good work. We will be expanding our network furthermore to serve our clients as best as we can,” he added. Adhering to rules and regulations Cooperative Insurance Company Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Damitha Narangoda said that the main reason for receiving this award was that the company always stuck to the rules and regulations of insurance law in Sri Lanka and serving people according to the corporate responsibility. “We will maintain our healthy relationship with the central government and the Sri Lanka Insurance Board in future too, so that we can upgrade our services towards our valuable clients.” Cooperative Insurance Company Ltd. is the only company in Sri Lanka which links clients, business partner and shareholders as an integrated stakeholder group who would enjoy the benefits of coming together.
