Daya resigns as Chairman

Asia Asset Finance on Wednesday said Dayananda Muthukumarana has resigned as the Chairman and a Director of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from 31st December, 2011 and the letter of resignation was tabled at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on 9th January 2012;

Board of Directors at its meeting held on 9th January, 2012 resolved to appoint H.L.L.M. (Mano) Nanayakkara as the Chairman of the Company with effect from 1st January 2012.

The Board also resolved to appoint Nirosh Silva as a Non-Executive Independent Director as well as Mrs. D. Priyanthi Pieris as a Director with immediate effect;

The Company also revealed this week that Director P. Wijayaratne passed away in November.
