DFCC partners IDB’s ‘Small and Medium Industrial Development Exhibition’

DFCC, the country’s leading development bank, partnered with the Industrial Development Board (IDB) as bronze sponsor for the ‘Small and Medium Industrial Development Exhibition’ (SMIDEX), which was held from 23 to 25 May. In order to celebrate its 45th anniversary, IDB introduced SMIDEX as its foremost exhibition to showcase local SMIs with specialised sector specific technology, machinery, raw materials and business development and other services facilities. SMIDEX ‘Taking Sri Lanka to the next era of Industrialisation’ was the theme of the event this year, where a large number of existing domestic and international players showcased innovative products, services and technologies. DFCC Bank’s involvement with SMIDEX was in view of building, understanding and supporting the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector contribution to the country’s economy with not only financial assistance but also with the expert knowledge in different industries the bank has gained by operating for about six decades.
