DFCC Vardhana Bank’s, Vardhana Prabhu priority banking service reached out to its customers in the North and East this month, by providing them with special services over the National New Year to carry out their financial transactions, as well as being presented with an exclusive New Year gift.

The event held at DVB’s branch in Jaffna saw the staff dressed in traditional clothing, while the branch was dressed up for the occasion as well.

The Vardhana Prabhu account provides their priority customers with a dedicated Customer Relationship Manager and a team of experts who will take personalised care of all financial needs. Vardhana Prabhu clients are also entitled to a multitude of exclusive privileges including preferential interest rates, waivers, extended banking hours and concessions on banking transactions.

Banking needs today differ drastically from customer to customer based on their lifestyles, while speed and online connectivity are considered a standard across the board. It’s the more subtle requirements which make a difference to customers. For instance, a busy individual who has to keep pace with a myriad of matters that require his personal input looks to stretch his productive  period during the day by getting things done as early or as  late as possible in the day.

Taking this into consideration, Vardhana Prabhu offers extended hours to their top clients on both ends of normal business hours. More importantly, Vardhana Prabhu clients can walk in, knowing a dedicated officer will always be at their services to offer immediate solutions to their specific needs.

“We realised that discerning clients prefer to have requirements fulfilled with least hassles no matter where they carry out their financial transactions. Many banks limit their prioritised services, mainly to areas in and around Colombo and a few key cities depriving such facilities to a good number of customers leading very busy lifestyles in fast-developing areas such as the North and East. This got us thinking; why not offer priority banking to the rest of the country? This was the rationale behind us launching Vardhana Prabhu last year. What makes Vardhana Prabhu unique is the level of localisation we do to the service by taking into account special norms and customs of the area,” DFCC Vardhana Bank CEO Laksham Silva said.

Launched in October last year, Vardhana Prabhu was first rolled-out in Jaffna, followed by another centre in Batticaloa, making DFCC Vardhana Bank the first in the industry to include customers from out of Colombo to be privy to a Centre that offers exclusive, personalised banking services.

DFCC Vardhana Bank has 127 branches and extension offices; and also includes 75 units across the Sri Lanka Post network. DVB’s customers at all branches have access to a full range of commercial and personal banking services, including current accounts, savings accounts, fixed deposits, foreign currency accounts and trade related finances.
