Dr. Jayamaha receives highest accolade

The University ofStirling, Scotland, UK, has bestowed Dr. Ranee Jayamaha with the Degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv).

At its graduation ceremony held in November 2012, the University of Stirling has recognised Dr. Jayamaha’s distinguished career as one of the university’s first Master’s Graduates in Economics and as a person of great distinction in the fields of learning the arts and public affairs.

The DUnivAward has been offered in recognition of her outstanding contribution to central banking, her dedication to banking services in the Northern and Eastern Provinces and more recently, to commercial banking in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Jayamaha is internationally recognised through her advisory services at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London and her involvement in BIS publications and the G8 Advisory Group. She is the Chairperson of Hatton National Bank Plc.
