Dr. Kelegama to speak at Association of Banking Sector Risk Professionals Forum tomorrow

An evening presentation on ‘Way Forward of Sri Lankan Economy in Perspective of Risk and Challenges for Financial Organisations’ organised by the Association of Banking Sector Risk Professionals in Sri Lanka will be held on 22 April from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (followed by refreshments), at the Auditorium (third floor) at Bank of Ceylon, Head office, Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, Colombo 1. The presented will be by Dr. Saman Kelegama, a leading Sri Lankan economist, author and the Executive Director of the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka (IPS), the apex economic policy research institute in Sri Lanka. He holds a PhD in Economics from Oxford University, UK.  He is an author of many publications on the Sri Lankan economy and South Asian regional integration issues. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka and an Honorary Fellow of the Sri Lanka Economic Association, in which he was the President during 1999 to 2003. While working at the IPS he has been closely associated with many academic institutions, the Government and the private sector of Sri Lanka. He is the Chairman of Singer (Sri Lanka) Ltd.
