Former SEC-official Prof. H. Dissabandara and Perpetual Capital Holdings Group Chief Strategic Risk Officer Sanjeewa Fernando have been appointed to the Board of Multi Finance Plc, a subsidiary of troubled Entrust Holdings Ltd.
The new Non-Executive Director appointments are following the resignation of six Directors from the Board from 14 January.
The Directors concerned are Isira D.B. Dassanayake (Executive Director), Chanuka Ratwatte (Executive Director), Romesha D. Senarath (Executive Director/Group Chief Operating Officer), K.P.N. Sanjeewa Dayarathna (Non-Executive Director), B. Niloshan R. Mendis (Non-Executive Director) and Manohara Sri Thilakawardana (Non-Executive Director).
Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director Kuvera De Zoysa and Deputy Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director Mohan Ratnayake as well as Director Legal and Recoveries/General Manager C.J. Atapattu remain on the Board. CEO is Pushpike Jayasundera.
Prof. Dissabandara was the Director General SEC from 2012 to 2013, Director Capital Market Education and Training (CMET) from 2008 to 2013.
Sanjeewa Fernando prior to joining Perpetual Capital Holdings was the Director at Acuity Securities from November 2012 to December 2015. He also held positions such as Vice President Integrated Risk Management Department of DFCC Bank, Chairman of the Board Integrated Risk Management Committee of Acuity Securities and Member of the Risk Management Committee of NAMAL.
He is a CFA Charter holder, holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Accountancy) Special (First Class Hons) Degree from the Kelaniya University.
