eZ Cash withdrawal at Commercial Bank ATMs

eZ Cash, Sri Lanka’s premier mobile money service, has partnered with Sri Lanka’s largest private sector bank, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, to give eZ Cash customers the ability to withdraw cash from selected ATMs island wide. The service will be extended to all ATMs of Commercial Bank in the near future.

Commercial Bank operates the country’s single largest ATM network, and the largest online 24-hour cash-dispensing system in the country. With this facility, in addition to the 16,000 retail points, eZ Cash account holders can withdraw money at their convenience from any Commercial Bank ATMs displaying the eZ Cash logo. The minimum withdrawal value is Rs. 100 and the maximum is Rs. 5,000 during a single transaction.

Through the partnership between Commercial Bank and eZ Cash, the bank has enabled Mobile Banking customers with eZ Cash accounts; the flexibility to top up their mobile wallets via a mobile and online portal. Commercial Bank customers can simply dial #8823# from their Dialog, Etisalat or Hutch mobiles and follow the simple instructions that appear on the screen, whilst the online service can be accessed by visiting Commercial Bank’s client login home page on its website upon registration. 

“The strategic partnership with Commercial Bank of Ceylon lays testimony to our promise of delivering convenience and greater flexibility to the 2 million-plus registered users of the eZ Cash mobile money service, where even the non-banked eZ Cash customers can withdraw cash from these ATM’s,” Fariq Cader, Vice President-Digital Services at Dialog Axiata PLC, said. 

“Partnerships like this demonstrate how we are at the heart of accelerating convergence between the online and offline segments for commerce, and extend them to many more segments in time to come.”

Commenting on the partnership, Hasrath Munasinghe Deputy General Manager – Marketing of Commercial Bank said, “We are always looking at ways to provide convenience to our customers and this partnership will facilitate utmost ease to both customers and non customers”.

eZ Cash customers can deposit, send and receive money and conduct transactions over 20,000 eZ Cash points island wide, inclusive of top up, withdrawals, institutional payments to over 180 online/web merchants. They also have the ability to carry out utility bill payments and insurance premiums via eZ Cash.
