Sri Lanka Insurance held it’s first ever General Insurance Summit, a two day residential conference for its top achievers in general insurance sales recently, at Chaya Tranz Hikkaduwa, with over 250 participants and the senior management of Sri Lanka Insurance.
General Insurance Summit, the two-day residential program was held to reward excellence , educate, recognise and motivate sales force and staff members of the general insurance category, while the 2012 summit was structured on the theme ‘Competencies, ethics and leadership’, an apt discussion in the current Insurance sales context.
The General Insurance Summit was attended by various key personalities of the country, as key note speakers, Ports Authority Chairman Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama, touching on how to be successful in the corporate culture through an achievement driven attitude.
Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekara touched on how aesthetic values and patriotism could create a good leader. The panel discussion was led by an elite panel of acclaimed academics of the Wayamba University Senior Lecturer Aminda Methsila, Lecturer W. Sampath Sanjeewa and Professor Udith K. Jayasinghe Mydalige (Chair) of Department of Agribusiness Management.
The senior management including the Managing Director and CEO Mohan De Alwis, co-general Insurance Ainsely Alles and the senior management of Sri Lanka Insurance was also present at the event.
