With reference to the press release made by the Fitch Ratings Lanka Limited to the Daily FT on the 30th June 2014, the HDFC Bank has made the following clarification.
With effect from the year 2013 HDFC Bank has appointed Lanka Rating Agency Ltd formerly known as RAM Ratings (Lanka) Ltd as their Credit Rating Agency and at the same time have withdrawn from Fitch Ratings Lanka Limited and this has been conveyed to them. Therefore the Bank wishes to state that it is the Bank’s decision to withdraw from the Fitch Ratings Lanka Limited and appoint Lanka Rating Agency Ltd as their Credit Rating Agency.
