HDFC Bank relocated its Trincomalee branch to a new building recently. This new place at No. 28, North Coast Road, Trincomalee is a more spacious location and linked to other 32 HDFC Bank branches island wide.
The Trincomalee branch of HDFC commenced operations in 2010 offering comprehensive range of services in housing finance. While the spacious environment of the relocated branch ensures greater convenience to the customers, it will offer diverse range of financial services such as home loans, micro finance, leasing, education loans, gold loans and a range of attractive savings and deposit schemes for small children, senior citizens and retirement plans for adults. HDFC further diversified its loan portfolio recently by introducing a dairy development loan scheme for medium and large scale entrepreneurs who are engaged in dairy development sector.
The newly-relocated branch was declared open by the Chief Guest Trincomalee District Secretary Major General T.T.R. de Silva amidst a distinguished gathering of invitees which included Deputy Director/Provincial Manager of CBSL in Eastern Province D.D.A. Dharmakeerthi, CEO/GM of the HDFC Bank Nimal Mamaduwa, HDFC Chief Financial Officer D.V. Pathirana, Chief Manager (Business Development and Marketing) H.S. Gunathilake, Trincomalee Branch Manager of HDFC Asanga Warnapura and a large number of customers in the area.
Mamaduwa expressing views at the event stated that the bank is fully dedicated towards its objectives to offer an efficient service to the customers and the Trincomalee branch will be focusing to serve the SME and micro finance sector to support the Government’s efforts in economic development in the region.
