HDFC launches eBanking

HDFC Bank, a specialized housing Bank launched the online Banking portal recently enabling customers to have access to their accounts at any time. This ensures fast, easy and secure access to HDFC accounts. HDFC Bank was in the process of upgrading its services continuously for the past period considering the evolving needs of its customers and this was yet another milestone in the Bank’s history.



 With this new service there will be a significant enhancement of convenience to the customers. HDFC invites its customers to sign up for Personal Internet Banking and manage their money from different locations and enjoy the services extended with this facility.

 This new affiliation will provide customers 24 hour access to their bank accounts via Bank’s website www.hdfc.lk .  This facilitates quick banking transactions and on-line banking facilities such as online access to the accounts, inquiries about the transactions, fund transfers & payments within own accounts or third party transfers within the HDFC bank or other banks, pay loan accounts using credit cards and utility bill payments to Mobitel, Lankabel at any time. As the next step the Bank has planned to introduce dispatching SMS massages to the customers’ mobile phones.

In addition to this new move HDFC Bank offers mobile banking services to people with the palm top facility with the objective of empowering people who are not in the main banking stream. It also helps to make accessibility for their housing finance needs and assists them to realize their dream of a decent home. The bank facilitates the customers with rapid loan schemes for their housing needs and has also introduced several savings and deposit schemes with attractive interest rates and other benefits. The Bank has introduced two new loan products recently to expand its product portfolio. A vehicle loan could be given to any existing housing loan customer of the bank on a re-mortgage of the property. Apart from this, a gold loan product, is a popular method of obtaining short term funding for home repairs etc., Under the HDFC Bank’s “Ithurum Vimana” savings concept the bank has introduced a range of highly competitive products.

HDFC bank has completed 29 years in the field of housing finance and is currently in the process of implementing wider opportunities to facilitate the housing and lifestyle needs of the masses in Sri Lanka.
