HNB Assurance celebrates outstanding performance by sales personnel

Rewarding excellence amongst its budding workforce, innovative insurance provider HNB Assurance held its Sales Convention 2010, which has now become an annual event on its calendar, earlier this week.

The main objective of this glamourous event was to reward the members of its sales force and distribution management, both departments which have excelled in their performances over the past year which in turn has allowed the company to record yet another successful year with commendable growth.

The event was a double celebration of sorts as the company will also be celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year and was graced by the presence of the Managing Director of Hatton National Bank PLC, Rajendra Theagarajah who was the Chief Guest at the Sales Convention. HNB Assurance has recorded an excellent growth rate of 15 per cent in its turnover and 20 per cent in profit after tax last year and for the first time in its history, both Life and General GWP measures of the company have crossed the one billion rupee mark thereby allowing the insurance provider to achieve a GWP of Rs. 2,428 million.

“This event is being held to reward team members who have gone beyond their duty and thanks to their achievements and their drive towards success, the number of awards given out at this Convention have been increasing year by year,” said the Head of Distribution of HNB Assurance, Ivan Nicholas while addressing the hundreds who attended the star-studded event. He went on to state that the company will have to change its strategies for the year 2012 in order to enjoy continuous growth. He also credited Hatton National Bank PLC for offering the insurance provider with the extra mileage which has assisted them in getting to where they are today.

With 118 award winners from their 51 branches spread island wide, with 18 super gold awards, 21 gold awards, 26 silver awards and 56 bronze awards. The proceedings at the event were spiced up by performances by the brand ambassadors of HNB Assurance, Bhathiya and Santhush, several dance acts and other entertainment items.
