HNB Assurance expands in the north

HNB Assurance opened a new branch in Kilinochchi last week, adding to its already strong presence in the north. The opening of the 51st branch of the HNB Assurance network is to cater to the need for convenient and Innovative insurance solutions, in a zone that is currently seeing rapid development and growth.

The company’s new branch was opened by HNB Assurance Managing Director Manjula de Silva, Colonel Nihal Amarasekara – Commander, 571 Brigade SL Army, and General Manager – Marketing and Distribution Lalith Fernando.

The opening ceremony was conducted in keeping with the local customs practiced in the area, with the participation of the clergy belonging to the main religious beliefs of the area.

The latest branch in Kilinochchi is located at the 1st floor, A9 Road, Karadipoku, Kilinochchi. It is equipped to provide seamless services to its valued customers through well trained and knowledgeable sales staff. The newest Zonal office and the Jaffna branch are re-located at 64/2 Stanley Road, Jaffna, in the heart of the city’s commercial hub. Speaking at the ceremonial opening of the new branch, de Silva recalled that when the company opened its original Jaffna branch in 2002, it was a very small operation and over the following 10 years HNB Assurance had set up more branches in the Province in Mannippai, Nelliady, Vauniya, Mannar, and now in Kilinochchi.

“We are hoping that our presence in Jaffna and Kilinochchi will be an asset to the people in the north as we are here to protect the possessions that they value the most,” stated Fernando.
