HNB Assurance launches ‘HNBA Mobile’ on Google Play

HNB Assurance has achieved another milestone in the Sri Lankan insurance industry by making ‘HNBA Mobile,’ the first Android Mobile application to be launched in the Google Play.

 HNB Assurance customers can download the HNBA Mobile application to their mobile from the Google play site and register themselves to obtain the services.

The innovative Android mobile application can be downloaded to any smart phone available in the market. Google Play makes free-of-charge applications available worldwide, providing the customers the convenience of downloading the application at their convenience.

Managing Director of HNB Assurance Manjula de Silva stated: “HNB Assurance Mobile has marked another innovative breakthrough in the Sri Lankan insurance industry by utilising latest Android mobile technology in providing customer services and the company earlier launched a mobile-based receipting facility coupled with a Bluetooth printer to be used by its advisors to issue receipts when collecting payments for policies.”

“HNB Assurance Mobile adds another dimension to the innovative suit of services offered aimed at utilising latest technological innovations for enhancing the company customer service level. This step will add value in increasing customer convenience by providing policy information available at customers’ fingertips,” stated Namal Gunawardhane – Head of IT at HNB Assurance PLC.

In addition to the web-based customer portal, customers of HNB Assurance now has the facility to use their smart phones to check the policy status, pending payments, available benefits and covers. Another feature offer is the one touch dial facility to contact customer care hotline or the advisor. If the customer needs to make an inquiry, they can use the inquiry feature.
