HNB opens 422nd Smart ATM at MillenniumIT

Hatton National Bank (HNB) recently opened its 422nd Smart ATM at the corporate headquarters of technology giant MillenniumIT (MIT) as part of the bank’s ATM expansion drive. Through HNB Smart ATMs HNB customers can make electricity, water and telephone bill payments, HNB Credit Card bill payments, fund transfers between HNB accounts and many other transactions. Speaking at the occasion, HNB Chief Operating Officer Dilshan Rodrigo said: “As the preferred bank of MIT, we are delighted to commission this state of the art ATM and offer its staff the convenience of accessing a multitude of value added services from within the premises of MIT.” Founded in 1996, MIT was acquired by the international diversified exchange business London Stock Exchange Group in October 2009. The company is a leading innovative trading technology business and IT solutions provider with its systems used by exchange businesses around the world including London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana, Oslo Børs, Turquoise, ICAP, the London Metal Exchange and Johannesburg Stock Exchange. HNB was recognised as the Bank of the Year in Sri Lanka for the years 2012 and 2013 by the Banker Magazine UK and was named the Best Retail Bank in Sri Lanka by the Asian Banker Magazine for six consecutive years from 2008 to 2013.
