The HNB Retired Employees Association, an association of the retired employees of Hatton National Bank, launched its own website www.hnbrea.com. recently.

This website is yet another innovation of the association and was officially launched by HNB Managing Director and CEO Rajendra Theagarajah at the HNB Towers in the presence of HNB Deputy General Manager HR and Administration J.R.P.M. Paiva and the members of the association.

The website gives an insight to the activities of the association, its mission, membership, events, and other news items of interest. This pioneering effort will bring all retired employees of HNB together and was launched with the prime aim of creating a communication bridge not only among the members of the association but also among the entire ‘Hatna Family’ scattered in different parts of the globe. The members by just clicking a button could get themselves updated of the activities of the association.

The association, in addition to its various activities, has also created a Critical Illness Fund to assist needy members critically ill and in financial distress. It is the aim of the association to publish articles covering banking and finance in its website written exclusively by its own membership many of whom possess vast knowledge and experience in various fields of banking being pioneers of HNB and partners of its success story. This will be of immense benefit to bankers and students of banking.
