This is why we organise it in October between World Children’s Day on 1 to World Thrift Day on 31 of the month. Our Singithi brand is split in to Singithi Kirikatiyo, Singithi Lama and HNB Teen and these specialised accounts are offered as soon as a child is born, is enrolled in school, becomes a teenager and becomes a youth. We look at the different needs of the child based on his age when introducing products.” The bank has declared 25 October ‘Singithi Savings Day’ and 50 selected Customer Centres will remain open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to engage in promotional activities. A special educational program will also be conducted at these customer centres to provide kids an understanding of the daily operations of a bank.
