HSBC Asia Pacific Head of Commercial Banking International Countries Sanjay Prakash visits Sri Lanka

Sanjay Prakash, Head of Commercial Banking, International Countries, Asia Pacific HSBC arrived in the country yesterday on a routine three day business visit.
During his visit he will meet with HSBC Sri Lanka and the Maldives CEO Patrick Gallagher, senior management from corporate banking and corporate customers.
Sanjay began his career with the HSBC Group in 2001 as Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Global Asset Management, India. He later moved to Bangladesh as Chief Executive Officer and went on to become the Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Banking, Asia Pacific in 2012.
He has diverse experience of over 27 years in multiple business areas and geographies, and is well-rounded. His leadership experience spans across business development, product marketing, management operations, risk management (including audit) and information technology.
Before joining HSBC in 2001, Sanjay was with ANZ Grindlays Bank (now Standard Chartered Bank) since 1986. Sanjay was educated in Mayo College, Ajmer, India and has a Bachelors degree in Economics (Honours). He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (HBS) having completed the Advanced Management Program. Sanjay is married with two teenage daughters. He is an avid sportsman and enjoys playing golf and tennis. His other hobbies include travel, music and photography.
