HSBC’s ‘Dial-a-loan’ sets the pace for speedy personal loans

HSBC has introduced ‘Dial-a-loan,’ a new loan concept that sets the pace to provide customers a speedier loan facility, enabling them to get what they envision for the future, today.

The latest service allows customers to apply for a HSBC lifestyle loan by simply dialing a designated number and having a sales representative visit them at home or office for this purpose.

Through the personal Lifestyle Loan facility, the need of owning a vehicle, obtaining a higher education to home improvement or any other purpose can now be afforded more conveniently.  “We have just revamped our lifestyle loans to promote affordability and convenience with this unique ‘Dial-a-loan’ concept. We have one of the largest mobile sales networks in the country and they have been trained to deliver an end-to-end solution to finance all different needs of our customers. The process has also been made simpler to enable customers to enjoy speedier service and attractive interest rates with added benefits,” commented Nadeesha Senaratne, Head of Credit Cards and Consumer Assets.  

Not only can HSBC’s Lifestyle Loans be taken for any purpose the customer wants, but also promotes hassle free facilities, as customers who wish to apply for a loan would no longer be required to remit their salary to HSBC, have an existing account, provide guarantors or make an initial down payment. Rather, the basic criteria would be salaried individuals between the ages of 18-60 years earning a minimum net monthly salary of Rs. 20,000.

HSBC has always stood by the promise of satisfying customer aspirations and giving them what they truly expect in life and ‘Dial-a-loan’ is a step towards offering customers a timely financial solution to provide for their needs and wants.

Furthermore, long-standing customers will continue to enjoy loyalty programmes coupled with attractive offers and deals made available through the bank’s merchant partner network, including car dealers, educational institutes, travel partners and white good stores.

Most importantly, loans ranging up to Rs. 7 million can be settled with flexible payments plans of a fixed or floating interest rate, reducing balance or straight line for up to seven years.

HSBC Lifestyle Loans became a phenomenon in 2004, when it was first introduced to the market. The concept was further enhanced with the first Lifestyle Loans Fair been held in Colombo and Kandy, to enable customers to apply for personal loans at their own convenience.
