Warren Allen, President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) who is in Sri Lanka on a four-day visit on the invitation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, met with Dr. P.B. Jayasundera, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, where IFAC efforts to help uplift the accountancy profession in Sri Lanka were discussed at length. During the meeting, Allen was of very high praise of the standing enjoyed by Sri Lankan qualified Chartered Accountants and intimated the ever-increasing demand for Sri Lankan qualified Chartered Accountants across the world. CA Sri Lanka President Arjuna Herath, Vice President Lasantha Wickremasinghe and Chief Executive Officer Aruna Alwis were also present during the meeting
