IIA Sri Lanka to host seminar on IS auditing challenges

An evening presentation on ‘IS Auditing Challenge for Non- IS Auditors’ organised by the International Internal Auditors (IIA) Sri Lanka Chapter will be held on 25 October from 6 p.m. onwards at the Institute of Personnel Management, Narahenpita. The topic presenter will be Priyantha Gamage.



Gamage has been in the banking industry for the past 17 years with over nine years experience in IS audit /internal audit and holds the position of Assistant Vice President Internal Audit of NDB Bank. He has obtained the CISA, CISSP Certifications from ISACA USA, (ISC2) USA respectively and is also a lead auditor for ISO 27001.

He has served on the ISACA Local Chapter Board for several years as the CISA/CISM Coordinator and currently serves as the membership chair of the newly formed (ISC2) Colombo Sri Lanka Chapter.

Gamage has been a resource person for CISA review courses for many years at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) and contributed towards producing many CISAs for Sri Lanka. He is also a resource person for the Diploma in Information Systems, Security, Control and Audit (DISSCA) program conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka in collaboration with ICA India.

The President of IIA Sri Lanka, Ashane Jayasekara stated that this presentation is part of IIA Sri Lanka’s objective of providing internal audit professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to give them a leading edge.
