Investrust Money Fund best performing Money Market Fund for 2015

Investrust Wealth Management Ltd., a member of Investrust Holdings Ltd., announces that its Investrust Money Market Fund (Investrust Money Fund), an open ended unit trust fund licensed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) has been the best performing Money Market Fund for the year ended 2015.

The fund delivered a net after fee return of 8.60% p.a. while outperforming all the Money Market Funds available in the market according to the data compiled by Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka (UTA). Unit Trust industry in Sri Lanka currently comprises 14 fund management companies with 17 Money Market Funds. 

Investrust Money Fund which was launched in June 2014 is a diverse cash strategy consisting of a portfolio of government securities and investment grade and above rated short term corporate debt instruments. The fund is actively managed to provide a maximum current income consistent with preservation of capital and daily liquidity. The fund’s objective is to consistently outperform the benchmark of monthly weighted average three-month Treasury bill yield. The assets of the fund are held by the custodian, Deutsche Bank AG, Colombo branch. The rights and interests of the unit holders are protected by the Trustee. Unit Trusts are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) under the SEC Act and the Unit Trust Code.

The fund manager, Investrust Wealth Management Ltd. is a Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) regulated Unit Trust Management Company, which currently manages Investrust Gilt Edged Fund, Investrust Income Fund, Investrust Money Market Fund and Investrust Growth fund.
