Janashakthi’s top performing life sales force was recently treated to an incentive tour of Thailand, in recognition of their hard work. 54 sales force personnel and their families participated in the tour, which encompassed both Pattaya and Bangkok. The high flyers received the opportunity to visit the popular Tiger Zoo, as well as a natural coral island and a relaxing dinner cruise on the river. There was time for shopping, games and other team-building activities which helped foster a spirit of camaraderie.
“Most of the staff members on this tour were visiting Bangkok for the first time. Everybody enjoyed the visit, especially to the Tiger Zoo. The boat cruise was also fantastic. Janashakthi Head Office did the utmost to ensure that everything ran smoothly logistically. Our sincere thanks go out to them,” said Western Zone Life Zonal Sales Manager Rehen Gunawardena.
Speaking further, Gunawardena said the tour was a great initiative, as even employees working at Janashakthi for less than six months could be eligible to participate in an overseas tour, through hard work.
The employees selected included a cross section of the sales force, ranking from the agency force to business managers, regional and zonal managers who were selected based on an in-house competition.
“At Janashakthi, we recognise that our people are our best asset. In fact, we invest almost Rs. 50 million a year on our employees, including for overseas training,” said General Manager, Life (Sales and Operations) Hashra Weerawardena. “This emphasis on employee development has been recognised, with Janashakthi receiving recognition at the SLITAD People’s Development Awards,” he added.
Janashakthi consistently rewards its top performers with overseas tours. Top performing employees received the opportunity to travel to many destinations such as Europe, China, Dubai, Thailand, Bali and the Maldives on previous occasions.
