Jayantha heads Richard Pieris Securities

The newest broking firm Richard Pieris Securities Ltd., began its operations yesterday.

The move follows the Company being admitted as a Trading Member by the Colombo Stock Exchange as well as licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to carry on the business of a stock broker.

Richard Pieris Securities will be trading securities in the Automated Trading System (ATS) of the

CSE with effect from 6 January 2011.The broker code assigned to the company is RPS. The broker number is 29.

The company’s CEO is Jayantha Perera, formerly Chief Financial Officer of Nawaloka Hospitals whilst he also has experience in stock broking and fund management. He served as Vice President Head of Research at DFCC Stock Brokers, Head of Research at Lanka Securities and Investment Advisor at NDBS Stockbrokers previously.

Jayantha is a Fellow member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (USA). He is also certified / Licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to act as an Investment Advisor. He has received overseas training in Pakistan and India in the fields of Investment analysis and corporate Finance.
